AVATR 12: The Game-Changer in Electric Vehicles You Need to Know About!

Welcome to our latest review of the AVATR 12, the electric car that’s taking the market by storm! In this video, we dive deep into the AVATR 12 EV, a groundbreaking luxury sedan developed by Changan in collaboration with Huawei.

Avatr Technology, backed by giants Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has just unveiled an exciting update to its flagship electric sedan, the Avatr 12, with a new entry-level model at a lower starting price. Originally launched on November 10, 2023, the Avatr 12 lineup includes a single-motor version and two dual-motor versions, which were initially priced at RMB 300,800, RMB 340,800, and RMB 400,800.

Now, in addition to the more affordable entry model, Avatr is offering a limited-time promotion on the higher-priced variants. Buyers of the 2024 Avatr 12 can use a deposit of RMB 5,000 toward a discount of RMB 27,000 on the final price, effectively bringing the starting prices down to RMB 278,800, RMB 318,800, and RMB 378,800 until April 30.

This spacious, mid-to-large-sized sedan measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm—similar to competitors like the Nio ET7. Powering the Avatr 12 is Huawei’s Inside solution, integrating the company’s high-performance motors and other advanced technology. The two single-motor versions pack a powerful 230 kW motor with 370 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. For even more thrill, the dual-motor version boasts an additional 195 kW motor, delivering an impressive 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds.

A 94.5 kWh battery from CATL fuels the Avatr 12, offering a range of up to 700 km for single-motor models and 650 km for dual-motor ones. Safety and convenience are paramount with three LiDAR sensors and Huawei’s ADAS 2.0 system, enabling advanced smart driving features without relying on high-precision maps.

The Avatr 12’s sleek design includes standout elements like a liftback tailgate, camera-based rearview mirrors, up to 22-inch wheels, and a panoramic glass roof. Inside, Avatr’s “cocooned sensory cockpit” creates a luxurious feel, featuring a “floating” dashboard, a wrap-around digital display, an octagonal steering wheel, and a 15.6-inch central infotainment screen.

Supported by 29 sensor units and Huawei’s proprietary software, the Avatr 12’s driver-assistance system offers level-three autonomy, lane-change assistance, traffic-light recognition, and pedestrian detection where regulations permit. Built at Changan’s factory in Chongqing, this model stands ready to elevate the electric sedan experience to new heights in 2024.
